What equipment do I need to print on sublimation stubby holders?

You need a dye sublimation printer (such as an Epson EcoTank converted to sublimation ink, a Sawgrass SG500/SG1000, or a Ricoh sublimation printer), sublimation ink, sublimation transfer paper, and a heat press. A flat clamshell press works for the panel; a dedicated stubby press or a silicone wrap attachment improves edge and seam coverage. Heat tape holds the transfer in position during pressing.

What are the press settings for sublimation stubby holders?

Press at 190–200 degrees C for 50–60 seconds with firm, even pressure. Allow the blank to cool completely before peeling the transfer paper — peeling hot can drag ink and blur fine details. If colour appears washed out, increase temperature by 5 degrees or press time by 5–10 seconds.

Can sublimated stubby holders be washed?

Yes. Sublimation dye penetrates the polyester fibres permanently — the design will not peel or crack. Hand wash with mild soap and allow to air dry. Avoid machine washing in hot water which can distort the neoprene over time. Do not put in the dishwasher.

Are these stubby holders made in Australia?

Yes — these sublimation stubby holder blanks are manufactured in Australia. Australian-made neoprene blanks typically have tighter seam quality and more consistent polyester coating weight than imported alternatives, which gives better sublimation colour consistency across a batch.

Sublimation Stubby Holder Blank — Full-Colour Custom Stubby Coolers

This blank stubby cooler consists of a white polyester-coated neoprene panel with a black rubber base. The white polyester surface accepts dye sublimation ink with vibrant, photographic colour and fine detail. The neoprene layer provides the insulation that keeps cans cold, and the rubber base prevents the holder from sliding on smooth surfaces.

To customise: print your design mirrored onto sublimation paper, wrap it around the panel, secure with heat tape, and press at 190–200°C for 50–60 seconds using a flat press or a dedicated stubby press. The design transfers permanently into the polyester fibres — it will not peel, crack, or fade through normal use and washing.

The standard panel (210 × 117 mm) wraps a 375 ml Australian standard can. The large panel (245 × 150 mm) accommodates taller cans and larger format designs. Both sizes include the rubber base.
