BF-FILM Reflective Heat Transfer Vinyl — Safety Garment and Custom Workwear
BF-FILM retroreflective HTV uses the same glass bead technology as road safety tape — microscopic glass beads in the film surface return light directly to its source. At night, under headlights or a camera flash, the transfer lights up far more intensely than standard or metallic HTV. That visibility is why reflective HTV is the go-to material for safety workwear, hi-vis personalisation, and event crew garments.
The film uses a TPU carrier layer with hot-peel release. Press at 150–160 degrees C for 15–20 seconds under firm pressure, then peel hot immediately after lifting the press. Cold peeling will lift the reflective layer. Once pressed, the transfer is flexible and survives regular wash cycles — rated for 30+ cold machine washes when pressed correctly.
Silver returns the highest retroreflective luminance and is the standard choice for AS/NZS 4602.1 compliant hi-vis garments. Gold and yellow are strong second choices — high daytime visibility plus good night-time return. Blue and green are used for branding accents on safety garments where a second colour is needed alongside a compliant silver or yellow base.
