Flat Sublimation Heat Presses

A flat press is the machine that does most of the work in a sublimation shop — coasters, slates, apparel, mouse pads, bar runners and stubby panels all go through it. Biz Supplies stocks clamshell, auto-open and swing-away presses from our Peakhurst (Sydney) warehouse, with local support on (02) 9119 2164.

Sizes we stock

  • 38 × 38 cm — the standard starter size. Covers A4 and A3+ transfers, coasters, slates and adult tee fronts.
  • 40 × 50 cm and 40 × 60 cm — for full apparel prints and larger photo panels, some with a pull-out drawer so you load outside the heat.
  • Long-bed lanyard press (1000 × 250 mm) — for lanyards, bar mats, sleeves and trouser legs, which a square platen cannot cover in one hit.
  • 5-in-1 combo (swing-away) — flat platen plus mug, cap and plate attachments off one machine. Sensible while volumes are low.

Clamshell, auto-open or swing-away?

Clamshell hinges up like a lid — smallest footprint, fastest cycle, best for flat thin items. Auto-open releases itself at the end of the timer, which stops scorching if you get pulled away mid-run. Swing-away moves the heat platen aside entirely, giving even pressure on thick rigid blanks like plaques and slates, and keeping your hands out from under the heat while you position a transfer.

How to Choose a Heat Press in Australia goes through platen size, pressure, temperature accuracy and where cheap presses fail.
